Guess who turned 5? Hard to believe. Every year around her birthday I find myself reminiscing about the years before. Here are the pictures I have taken every year on her birthday.
One Year
Three years
Four years
We decided to have Audrey's party a little over a week after her birthday so Meme and Grandpa would be here to celebrate. However, we couldn't overlook the actual big day. Here is a sample of her day. The first thing she wanted to do was open her gift from us. We got her a slip n slid. It was a bust, it doesn't work right and is going back. Bummer!
We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast which is a real treat because we normally only have healthy cereal or oatmeal.
I decorated the van that day before I took her to school.
Max, Daddy and Mommy all went to school and ate lunch in the cafeteria with the Birthday girl.
Then we went shopping at Toys R us. It has become a tradition and we would NEVER hear the end of it if we skipped it.
We told her she could pick where we ate dinner that night and she chose Target. Yes, you read that right. We all ate dinner at the little snack bar at the store. I have NO idea where that came from but as you can see from the smile, it made her happy and that was the goal!
Then we went home and sang Happy Birthday. It was a good day!
Now, the party.
It was obviously heavily influenced by Pinterest.
One little munchkin was eyein' the cake all day!
The girls got to make their own sundaes.
The ears I made them.
Our swing set has never seen this much action!
Pinata time. She meant business!
The audience.
Could this group be ANY cuter? This made all the planning worth it! Love it!
Pin the bow on Kitty.
Now for a quick trip down memory lane...
Happy Birthday Audrey. We love you more than I could ever express in words. The last five years have be anything but easy but it is ALL worth it. You're the best!
