We were lucky enough to be invited to visit Jack's parents in Sea Island, where they vacation. It was a 5 star vacation all the way. Most of Jack's siblings came out and Max and Audrey got to spend lots of time with their cousins. We had a great time.
Max is such a good boy, he helped me pack.
Our travels didn't go too smoothly on the way there. Our first flight (we had to get up at 4 am to catch) was delayed 2 hours, so we missed our connection. The next flight out was 4 hours later so the kids were pretty exhausted as Audrey is demonstrating by sleeping sitting up.
Max waited until we got there to pass out.
Audrey enjoying the view of the marsh and coloring.
The pool and outdoor living room. The house was beyond unbelievable. I didn't take many pictures of it but here is the virtual tour I snagged from the website.
Sunday after church we went to the Cloister for lunch and to look around.
The kids in the library. The ceilings...carved wood. Amazing.
On Monday, Aunt Jacquie and the boys arrived.
Sometimes, the "big" kids let Max play too.
We spent A LOT of time in restaurants. Normally kids and restaurants don't mix (especially when it is a party of 14) but these guys were great!! This is a "Barbara Jeans" who just happens to have the best crab cakes EVER!
The little ones had a lot of fun with Patrick. I think he had some chocolate in this picture.
A little puzzle time with Grandpa.
Beach day
And yes, I brought Max to the beach in his jammies...don't judge.
Sandy beach as far as the eye can see.
In both directions.
He loved it!
I love this picture. My little baby is growing up to be such a beautiful little girl.
Max's first birthday. This is his "one year" couch picture.
Dinner at the Cloister.
We had a party for Max the next day but I couldn't let his actual birthday go by without some celebrating.
He loved the attention as we all sang.
You know you have a large family when they have to put you in the banquet room!
Aunt Jacquie teaching Max about fire safety.
Max and Uncle Matt bonding.
Little snack and a movie in jammies to wind down.
Jackson and Audrey making souvenir pennies.
They were very excited about these.
Because we had such an early flight out of Jacksonville (and it is an hour and a half from Sea Island) we stayed the night in Jacksonville. This is the "river walk" it was really cool.
Mommy had to have a glass of wine just to cope with how gross it was that Max was crawling on a hotel floor. Ewwwwww
Flying the plane at the Chicago Airport.
Audrey in the tower talking to Daddy (you can see him crouched down in the plane).
The pictures are great. I've got beautiful grandchildren. Max just makes you smile. Looked like fun. Meme
