Audrey's ambiguous winter concert

First let me explain my title. This concert took place in December, the kids were supposed to wear "holiday colors" and they sang "Jingle Bells" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".  But at no time was this ever referred to as a "Christmas show". Maybe my memory is fuzzy but didn't Rudolph guide the sleigh of a certain jolly old elf who only visits on CHRISTMAS? When did Christmas become so offensive that we have to avoid even saying it?
