A Hoosier, a Phoenican and two Trolls go on a road trip...

Most years we make the drive to Indianapolis for Thanksgiving. This year was one of those years. When it was just Jack and I we could make the trip in about 6 1/2 hours. The first time we took Audrey (6 months old) it took us 9 AND A HALF HOURS!!! But this year with a 3 year old and a 9 month old we did it in 7 1/2. Not too shabby! The drive went well. Long road trips and plane rides are the ONLY time we break out the portable DVD player and boy is that thing a life saver! She is glued to it the whole time. Max? Well, he's just Max. He is such a good baby (knock wood) he just hangs out and dozes. We had a great visit. Lots of time spent with Jack's parents and brothers. Audrey got lots of playtime with her cousins too.

The night we got in to town, everybody came over to Jack's brother's house where we were staying.

The next day we went to Jack's other brother's house to play. Audrey was in awe of the variety of toys the boys have and they were allowed to ride scooters in the house.

Oh yeah, they have what they call "the rubber room" in their basement. It is kid heaven.

***THANKSGIVING DAY***
No question about what I am thankful for.

 I just LOVE those two!

We watched a High School football game at Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the Colts). Audrey stayed back to play with her cousins.

 Max and his Uncle.

 For the baby book :)

When we got back we were treated to a musical parade. Audrey was having so much fun she couldn't contain her smile when she would come through. (she was trying to be a serious musician)

More play time at Grandma and Grandpa's

Her shirt has a magic 8 ball on it and it says "will I stay out of trouble today?"
The ball says "Outlook not good".

It was a great trip. Everyone had fun!

  1. Carrie the trip looked like it was a lot of fun for everyone. I think it well worth the trip so Audrey can play with her cousins. Wish I could have done that when you were little.
